Thank you very much for the Watch :+devwatch:!

I know we haven't exchanged messages in a very long while - not since the days that you were writing the Splinter Cell story Man of Conviction.  Still I am aware of how weather in recent weeks has impacted places like Puerto Rico. I don't know when you'll see this though at least until then I hope you're still okay out there.
Thank you Knight! Truly. I was surprised to see this message here. It means a lot. We're getting there, slowly. There's work to do still and we're a few months away from the next storm season, so, here's hoping we don't get to relive this for a good hundred of years as it was with San Felipe the Second.
Your welcome.  We had a bracing storm season several years ago when this area was hit by what was called Hurricane Sandy.  My area had flooding because the storm arrived in tandem with a full moon and a high tide.  There was no rain - just wind and bay water coming higher than I ever saw it before.  We lost power for several days and water did come indoors as I lived on the first floor of a three story building.  This part of New Jersey is a peninsula so we are surrounded by water on three sides - Newark Bay, Upper New York Bay, and Kill Van Kull.  I live on the side that faces Newark Bay - so we had water overflow into the streets adjacent to the bay.  Over areas of New Jersey were more roughly hit - I saw some of this aftermath firsthand while traveling throughout the state over the last few years.

We are still affected by it though its largely over for many of us though for some it continues - as some homes were outright destroyed by way of being pulled out into the ocean, demolished afterwards because they were unsafe, or not enough of the structure survived.  The storms regardless of where they hit - have a lasting impact on the region.

I cannot imagine what it has been like to live there since the storm came last year.  I have certainly tried to followed whatever news is covered about the recovery or rebuilding of various infrastructure.  I would say I hope whatever is being done to prepare for the next storm season will help you all there.  These rough storms are certainly happening more regularly and closer together in terms of time.  So its essential that states as well as nations prepare how they will respond to them.

In a fictional sense I could see this as a situation that would involve men and women from the various Tom Clancy spin-off series.  I mean yes sure they deal with situations that are destructive caused by people.  However they could just as well as participate in responding to the forces of nature.

Also in a recent addition to Ghost Recon: Wildlands - Sam Fisher - voiced again by Michael Ironside - made an appearance in mission called Operation: Watchman.  Wildlands' music by composer Alain Johannes certainly does evoke a sense of the natural jungles of South America.  I don't know if it would also be the kind of music native to places like Puerto Rico though I do enjoy the soundtrack.  It has a very different flavor to it than the other TC related games.  It has some similarities to the tracks in various Splinter Cell games.
always happy to exchange art review w you
